Driving Miss Daisy

Adapted into the multiple award-winning movie starring Morgan Freeman in 1989. This Pulitzer prize winning drama follows Daisy Werthan, a rich, southern, sharp-tongued Jewish widow of seventy-two who has now demolished another car. Her son informs her that she now must rely on the services of a chauffeur. The person he hires for the job is a thoughtful, unemployed black man, Hoke Coleburn. What begins as a troubled and hostile pairing soon blossoms into a profound, life-altering friendship that transcends all the societal boundaries placed between them.
